
The Strengthening Institutions and People Participation (SIPPP) project
The Strengthening Institutions and People Participation (SIPPP) project is currently been implemented in Gweru district’s 18 wards targeting residents (women, youths and People with Disabilities (PWDs) and duty bearers (councillors, Member of Parliament, council technocrats etc.) from September 2024 to December 2024. The objectives of the project will include:
- To strengthen oversight and accountability and accountability capacity of public finance management by December 2025.
- To strengthen legislative and policy compliance in the management of public finances.
- To strengthen citizen participation and oversight in public finance management for effective and inclusive social spending by 2025.
The project will use a model called Engagement for Progress (E4P) model which lays the basis on the importance of community engagement evidenced by our success stories GRRA has harnessed in the numerous projects that it implemented.
